Sinndar will have two of his stable companions for company in the Irish Derby on Sunday week as the horses placed behind him in the Epsom Derby are set to go to Paris this weekend instead.

Sakhee, Beat Hollow and Best Of The Bests are among the eight overseas horses left in the Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on Sunday, along with the Aidan O'Brien-trained trio Bach, Ciro and Shakespeare.

If the horses which finished behind Sinndar at Epsom take up the French option, the likelihood of a small field at the Curragh increases and that could affect Sinndar and the French Derby winner, Holding Court, who are in line for a $1 million bonus.

That bonus is payable only if there are eight or more runners, and Sinndar's trainer, John Oxx, has also left in the Aga Khanowned Ezbek, Korasoun, Raypour and Takai.

The Curragh trainer said yesterday: "I will probably run two others in addition to Sinndar, but I don't know which ones yet. I have to discuss this with the Aga Khan.

"Sinndar came out of Epsom well and is in good shape. He has cantered from last Tuesday onwards and we are very happy with him."

The attention of purists will be on Royal Ascot this afternoon, but Clonmel offers a seven-race card tonight which seems to offer jockey Kevin Manning a couple of winning opportunities.

Manning teams up with Charlie Swan for the ride on Sharavogue Cookie in the opener, and with the presence of the hopefully named Supreme Certainty in the race, the Swan filly could be a value bet.

To believe that you have to forgive Sharavogue Cookie's last run at Dundalk when seventh to Atacat. Well ahead was Supreme Certainty, who finished second, and a literal reading of that sees the Weld horse well clear.

But Supreme Certainty has had many chances of breaking his duck and disappointed. Sharavogue Cookie's good second to Awesome Strike over today's course and distance was on good ground, while there was cut in the Dundalk going, and the fast surface tonight could be the key.

Manning also rides Siamsa for Jim Bolger in the 10 furlong handicap. Being a daughter of the Derby winner Quest For Fame, Siamsa will surely improve for the hike in trip from efforts over seven at Tipperary and Gowran and even a run over five at the Curragh behind Miracle Ridge.

Swan rides the Navan bumper winner Conzara in the maiden hurdle, but this mare could be better going left handed, and preference is for Link Hill.
