OUR Lady's Templeogue took all the individual titles when the West Leinster Cross Country Championships were decided in the Phoenix Park. For the McGowan sisters, Deborah and Linda, the day had an extra significance as they both took the lead in the last 400 metres to win the Intermediate and Minor titles respectively.
Lauren McCreary at junior and senior winner Caitriona O'Brien were the other winners.
The most competitive race of the eight which attracted over 1,200 athletes was the senior boys where Gearoid O'Connor of Firhouse had to dig deep to haul back Pearse Hickey over the final 800 metres.
Salesian Celbridge took the team event and they were successful at junior level also with Belvedere's intermediate win the only team title to remain in the capital.
