Opportunity to honour bravery

The Seonaid Trust golf classic will take place at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on Monday, May 17th. The classic is to raise funds for a very determined 20-year-old, Seonaid Dunne, who tragically lost both legs and her right arm as a result of horrendous burns suffered in a fire at her home in 1997. At the time she was preparing for her Leaving Certificate examination and thanks to the skill and dedication of the medical staff of St James's Hospital, she has recovered, and through her own courage and determination has completed her Leaving Certificate and is now studying International Business, French and Spanish at Dublin City University.

RTE personality Pat Kenny, the chairman of the Trust Golf Classic said: "I am very proud to host this golf classic in aid of the Seonaid Dunne Trust Fund. I am amazed to see the progress she has made in such a short time, she is an exceptional young woman."
