Remember we told you that Sheffield Wednesday's Irish under-21 international Alan Quinn would be joining Spurs/Leeds/Middlesbrough/Newcastle during the summer? Well, strike that. Quinn will, in fact, be moving to Everton come the end of the season, confirmation of which was provided by Goodison Park supremo Walter Smith on Thursday when he said: "This speculation is completely unfounded".
We also predict, with no confidence whatsoever, that Charlton's Mark Kinsella will be playing for Sunderland next season (after a £7 million move) and that Manchester United will solve their leaky defence problem by fielding four goalkeepers in each game: Francesco Toldo (Fiorentina), Neil Sullivan (Wimbledon), a French fella whose name we can't remember and, not content with signing one dodgy goalkeeper from Aston Villa, David James.
