Celebrities were out in force last week at the annual Mitsubishi Motors/ Des Smyth classic at Royal Dublin. And over £60,000 was raised for the Special Olympics Ireland and Respect, with Philip Walton leading home the winning team of Jim King, Fran Hurley, Stephen Buckley on a score of 89 points. The Finheat team won by three points from Jim Carvill, Dominic Quinn, Don Ward and Hugh Dunne on 86, with Padraig Harrington, his father, Paddy, Paddy Whelan and Tom McInerney taking third place also on 86. Harrington also won the professional prize with a six-under-par 66.
