Munster IHC/Cork 0-17 Waterford 1-13: Reigning All-Ireland champions Cork held on for a one-point win over Waterford at Semple Stadium yesterday to book their place in the Munster Intermediate Hurling final.

Cork led by 0-7 to 0-5 at the interval and extended that lead by a further five points within eight minutes of the restart before a Waterford rally yielded six points to leave them only a point behind. Substitute Stephen Molamphy then scored a goal to give Waterford the upper hand on the scoreboard.

Cork held their nerve though and Maurice O'Sullivan pointed twice to give them victory.
