Galway manager John O'Mahony has named the team that convincingly beat Sligo earlier this month for Sunday's Connacht final against Leitrim. Still recovering from the injuries which kept them out of the Sligo match are Shay Walsh (back) and John Divilly (hamstring) while Kevin Walsh has also to regain his full fitness.
It means that Gary Fahy will again man the full-back position with the young Jason Killeen starting at centre back. Michael Donnellan remains at left wing forward after his hugely influential role in that position against Sligo. Sean O Domhnaill and Joe Bergin are the midfield partners.
The opposite wing forward Paul Clancy picked up a minor leg injury late in the Sligo match and was replaced by Ciaran Comer but Clancy has recovered to regain his place. Dual player David Tierney - who also came on for the hurling side in Croke Park yesterday - was another substitute in the Sligo match for a tiring Tommy Joyce but Joyce keeps his place at centre forward. John Donnellan was the third replacement against Sligo for Niall Finnegan and he is expected to again be named among the substitutes, which will be confirmed after the final training session later in the week.
