DUBLIN'S football manager Mickey Whelan has made six personnel changes to the side that lost the county's opening National Football League fixture against Leitrim. Most notable is the dropping back to the bench of long serving goalkeeper and All Ireland winning captain John O'Leary.
It is believed that O'Leary is amenable enough to the move as he is happy to take it easy in the current League and give understudy David Byrne a run in the team.
Other changes for the Division Two meeting with Armagh see Ciaran Walsh and Paul Clarke - ironically dropped off the panel the last time Dublin played in Croke Park for last July's Leinster final - return to the team in place of Ger Regan and Enda Sheehy respectively.
Paul Curran who is understood not to have been available for training recently is also replaced, by John O'Callaghan an All Ireland club medallist with Kilmacud Crokes last year. Other changes see Ian Robertson come in indirectly for Paul Bealin who is injured.
Dermot Harrington moves to midfield to replace Bealin while Dessie Farrell is named at full forward allowing Robertson in at wing forward.
Joe McNally is believed to have been under consideration for the full forward position in what would have been his first competitive call up since last summer's provincial semi final against Louth - but indicated that he would not be available for the match.
Keith Barr is named as captain, as he was against Leitrim, and as he is expected to remain for this season.
Cork have made only one change for the visit of Meath in Division One. Pat Hegarty comes in at full forward with Colin Corkery moving out to the left corner and Mark O'Sullivan, disappointing for UCC in the county final against Clonakilty last Sunday, drops to the bench,
Cavan, hoping to build on the creditable draw secured against All Ireland champions Meath, make two changes for the visit of Kildare. Dermot McCabe, nearing the end of an exhausting year with the county under-21s who reached the All Ireland final and also with his club Gowna beaten in last week's Ulster championship match against Burren from Down, returns at the expense of Anthony Forde and Larry Reilly comes in for Michael Graham.
A further change may be needed it, as expected, right corner back Philip Kermath fails a fitness test. His place is nonetheless left open.
