Conor O'Dwyer has come in for the ride on the Martin Pipe-trained Cyborgo in tomorrow's Martell Grand National. Cyborgo is one of 32 declared runners for the world's most famous steeplechase after four horses, including the Irish pair, Linden's Lotto and Another Excuse, were taken out yesterday.
That leaves just Bobbyjo and Merry People running for Ireland in the big race. Cyborgo will be O'Dwyer's sixth ride in the National. He was third on Laura's Beau in 1992 and has completed the race twice since. Graham Bradley is upbeat that he will be fit to ride the top weight, Suny Bay.
Bradley injured his shoulder in the Irish National on Monday but said yesterday: "I am having physio twice a day and have been doing some press-ups and lifting exercises. I am feeling more confident that I'll be able to ride Suny Bay.
