LEINSTER COLLEGES SFC 'A' SEMI-FINALS/ColáisteEoin 2-9 Moate CS 0-14:A GOAL and two points in a three-minute spell in the closing stages at Navan's Páirc Tailteann on Saturday helped Coláiste Eoin, Stillorgan through to the title decider.
There was never much between the sides and after they were on level terms twice in the last quarter, extra-time looked a distinct possibility. However, a well-taken goal, netted by substitute Conchur Ó Duibhir with seven minutes to go, proved crucial.
With twin brothers John and Martin Rock among the scorers, Moate led by 0-5 to 0-2 at the end of the first quarter. However, Maitias MacDonnacha finished a superb move to the net for a Coláiste Eoin goal after 28 minutes. The south Dublin school led 1-4 to 0-6 at the interval.
