Fergal O’Donnell is poised to return to intercounty management for 2013 – but not as Roscommon senior boss. He will take charge of the Roscommon minors, having led them to All-Ireland glory in 2006 before enjoying three years as senior manager.
O’Donnell stepped down from the role a year ago and fans were hoping he could be persuaded to return and replace Des Newton, who was in charge for one season.
It is understood a change in his work role as a Garda was a factor which saw him willing to return.
