Handicap cuts are nothing new to Michelle Crummy of Woodenbridge. The daughter of secretary/manager Henry, who has reduced her handicap from 43 to 26 in less than two years lost another five shots last week when shooting 50 points in the women's open. Michelle had seven points to spare over Tricia Wyse from Delgany, Kate Sexton and women's captain Breda Murphy.

Meanwhile, Martin Ryan is running a charity day at Castlecomer on Friday where the proceeds are in aid of Our Lady's Hospital. Some places are available on the time sheet at 056-41139 at £100 per team of four.
