Highlights - ITV £183 million: ITV have a commitment to screen a Saturday evening highlights programme after 7 p.m. and a Sunday night equivalent show, after 9 p.m. The first can contain edited highlights of three Premiership matches and three-minute clips of others. The latter can include highlights of two matches not shown live that day, plus three-minute excerpts from others.

The highlights package also entitles the winning broadcaster to show a Saturday morning Premiership preview programme incorporating three-minute clips.

Live 1 - BSkyB £1.11 billion estimated: Up to 66 games a season (formerly 60), on Sundays and Mondays. They will get the first choice of Premiership matches, provided they show at least three per club each season. BSkyB will also pay £22.5 million as a revenue share from interactive services.

Live 2 - ntl £328 million: Up to 40 pay-per-view live matches a season on Sundays, although they will have second choice of fixtures. No more than eight matches from one particular club can be shown per season, and coverage must not clash with that of any other live Premiership match.
