Division One

Cork v Down, Páirc Uí Rinn (Live Setanta Sport 1) – Down have started the season well and sit in second place. James McCartan's counterpart, Conor Counihan, can start looking at the Nemo players as well as those from UCC's successful Sigerson panel. Eoin Cadogan gives the big ball his attention this week and was excellent against Monaghan two weeks ago. Cork have won the one match they were revved up about, against Kerry whereas Down have been negotiating some of their easier fixtures. Home win.

Division Two

Tyrone v Antrim, Omagh (Live, Setanta Ireland) – Another defeat by Derry last week confirmed the uncertain trajectory of Tyrone's season and this will be a test, with the visitors having beaten Meath and sitting on the same number of points. But it's likely Mickey Harte's team will confirm the superiority over Antrim visible in the past two Ulster championships.

Division Three

Waterford v Tipperary, Dungarvan – Waterford have battled well in their first season at such an advanced level and home advantage gives them a shot but John Evans' side look too strong.

Division Four

Clare v London, Cusack Park, 4.30 – Disappointing so far for Clare after last season's promotion near-miss. This however should double their points tally.

Division Two

Kerry v Westmeath, Tralee, 2.30pm – Critical relegation clash between the two bottom teams and although Westmeath's defeats have been against three of the top four the home side are marginally preferred.

Division One

Mayo v Armagh, Castlebar – Billy Joe Padden is named in the Armagh line-up for what will be a quick first return to Castlebar since his transfer. Mayo have been going steadily without suggesting there's been a paradigm shift in the county yet.

Armagh’s main difficulty has been labouring for scores but the defence gave up a lot of unrealised chances against Down. This should be Mayo’s first home win.

Monaghan v Dublin, Clones (TG4, deferred) – Aside from the Galway win Monaghan might well have beaten Armagh and gave Cork an uncomfortable half hour. Vinny Corey's back and the expectation is they'll make it difficult for Dublin. Pat Gilroy gives Ross O'Carroll his first league start, as the Kilmacud players are again available, although the suspended Eoghan O'Gara will miss the rest of the campaign. Centrefield is supplemented by the inclusion on the wing of Michael Darragh Macauley from the start.

As second and third are playing tonight, a win will push Dublin nearer to a league final. Can they do it? As Bernard Brogan might say, “Yes, we can”.

Kerry v Galway, Killarney – Kerry's priority is team development at present but the margins of defeat against Cork and Dublin were very narrow and even now the team still looks as good as anyone else around. Galway's dire start to the campaign was extended with the recent defeat by Mayo. Kerry's good record against Galway is unlikely to come unstuck here.

Division Two

Meath v Donegal, Páirc Tailteann – Donegal coach Jim McGuinness has lost centre back Leo McLoone to a serious ankle injury whereas Meath make five changes to the side beaten by Antrim and include an experimental full back, Brian Menton. Donegal's mobility can cause problems here.

Kildare v Laois, Newbridge, 2.45 – John O'Loughlin's back for the visitors after starring for UCD a week ago. Kieran McGeeney also has a clean bill of health from the Sigerson (although having lost All Star Peter Kelly to a cruciate injury when playing for UCD, he'll feel he deserves the break). Laois have to be favourites.

Sligo v Derry, Markievicz Park – Northwest derby sees Derry, smarting from that demolition by Laois, head for Sligo, who have been experiencing problems of their own. The visitors should get their promotion campaign back on the road.

Division Three

Louth v Offaly, Drogheda – Louth recorded a fine win in Wexford two weeks ago and will be expected to maintain the only unbeaten record in the division.

Limerick v Cavan, Gaelic Grounds, 1pm – The bad start is now getting worrying for Limerick. That urgency can see them through here against a Cavan side who aren't great travellers.

Westmeath v Wexford, Cusack Park – Westmeath at last picked up their first win in two league seasons but if Wexford hold their nerve they can stay on track for the second promotion spot.

Division Four

Wicklow v Longford, Aughrim – Wicklow to reclaim top spot.

Roscommon v Fermanagh, Kiltoom – Another two contenders. Roscommon can damage that status for the visitors.

Kilkenny v Carlow, Nowlan Park – In good years Kilkenny sometimes beat the neighbours. Not this time.

Division One

Galway v Kilkenny, Pearse Stadium (Live TG4) – Being the holders and carrying a weighty injury burden hasn't helped Galway with the desire to win it again. Kilkenny, on the other hand, for the past 10 years have followed every failure to win the All-Ireland by taking the league and will want to avenge last season's defeat.

Tipperary v Offaly, Nenagh – Tipp received muted praise for their first win of the season over 13-man Waterford but they were cruising by the end. Offaly could really do with the points but are riddled with injuries. They did win their last league match here, 14 years ago, but they won't win this.

Waterford v Cork, Fraher Field – Waterford manager David Fitzgerald is chewing on a recommended three-month suspension from the CCCC but in the meantime is attending to his team's mid-table campaign as well as some player trialling. Cork are again doing well in the league although Galway should have caught them last week and they look likely to take the points here.

Wexford v Dublin, Wexford Park – Offaly manager Joe Dooley said Dublin were the best side his team had played so far and he'll be hoping they maintain that by keeping Wexford pointless but Anthony Daly is playing the hurling equivalent of Jenga, as injuries pile up, and Wexford pushed Kilkenny last week. Still, Dublin's momentum to keep them on track.

Division Two

Antrim v Carlow, Casement Park – Carlow pushed Antrim hard here in the championship and may again be squeezed out tomorrow.

Clare v Down, Cusack Park, 1.30 – Clare's fitful progress should continue with a win.

Limerick v Laois, Gaelic Grounds, 2.45 – The top two teams clash in a match that could blow open the division should Laois win but Limerick's steady season under Donal O'Grady should continue.
