Sligo stages its last meeting of the year tonight and Legend Falls is napped to provide the north west punters with something to go out successfully with.

The Sligo regulars have got used to this filly as she has been runner-up her on her last two appearances. Just under a month ago, Legend Falls was a four-length runner-up to The Bomber Liston while before that in June she was a length off Rainbows Forever.

Significantly though, Legend Falls proved she can act with a cut in the ground, something not so certain about one of today's significant opponents Norex. The Tatts Race is hardly an inspiring contest and with the good track record here of Michael Grassick and Eddie Ahern, Legend Falls looks worth a bet.

Racing opens with the Yeats Maiden Hurdle and the hurdling experience of Dermot Weld's Out'N'About could prove the vital ingredient. A winner on the flat at Tramore, David Evans' mount then ran second to Lady For Life in a hurdle at Roscommon.

Out'N'About should improve for that and may have the edge on Noel Meade's reasonable flat operator Voodoo Lily.

Owenduff ran fifth to Let Us Pray in a chase at Tralee last week and on the balance of his form has a winning chance in a weak looking Beginners Chase. However, Owenduff has flattered to decieve in the past and possibly Johnstheman is a better value bet.

Paircin looked to have a winning chance in a bumper at Tralee during last week only to end up a non-runner. Fifth in a winners bumper on her debut at Galway, Paircin is sent from Gerry McArdle's Dundalk yard for this evening's bumper and looks good enough to win.

The Ballymote Handicap could have had a conincidence winner had the sprinter Ballymote run in it. Instead Michael Halford's Fairyhouse runner-up goes in the September Handicap and if the handling the ground should go close while in the 12 furlong race Agent Scully is preferred.
