LEAGUE OF IRELAND PREMIER DIVISION: CORK CITY captain Dan Murray has targeted a place in Europe after the club's players yesterday agreed a schedule on the payment of wages for the remainder of the season.

“We are pleased to have come to an agreement with the club regarding payment of wages,” said Murray. “We can now focus all of our attention on finishing this season as high up the league table as we can and qualifying for Europe.”

Striker Fahrudin Kuduzovic is suspended, while defender Neal Horgan is out for a fortnight having undergone knee surgery as fourth-placed Cork host Galway United tonight.

Galway welcome defender Shane Guthrie back from suspension, though boss Ian Foster waits on Iarfhlaith Davoren (hamstring), Dave Cooke (hamstring), John Russell (ankle) and Derek O’Brien (shoulder).

Captain Owen Heary (hamstring) is Bohemians’ only injury concern ahead of the top-versus-bottom clash with Bray Wanderers at Dalymount Park as the champions look to bounce back from their defeat at Sligo Rovers on Tuesday which ended a nine-game unbeaten run.

Paul Byrne, who has a knee injury, is out for Bray, while fellow striker Shane O’Neill (ankle) will need to pass a fitness test if he’s to be involved. Dave Mulcahy, Stephen Brennan and Daire Doyle all return from suspension.

Barry Murphy is set to return in goal for Shamrock Rovers against St Patrick’s Athletic at Tallaght Stadium as Alan Mannus is away on international duty with Northern Ireland. Defender Pat Sullivan is suspended. With Declan O’Brien returning following a finger injury, St Patrick’s expect to be at full strength.

Liam Kearney returns from a broken leg for Derry City at home to Dundalk who are without suspended pair, Chris Turner and Tiernan Mulvenna.

Drogheda United have Paul Shiels and Jamie Duffy back from suspension as they host Sligo Rovers, minus Romuald Boco who’s away on World Cup duty with Benin, at United Park.
