Timmy Murphy, who sustained a badly bruised right arm in a fall at Naas on Sunday, will return to action at Lingfield on Friday.
He had initially hoped to be back in the saddle tomorrow but has delayed his comeback for 24 hours in order to ensure he is fully fit for a busy weekend. His agent Chris Broad said yesterday: "Timmy's booked in for two lots of treatment with "Rabbit" Slattery today and will not be returning on Thursday. Hopefully he will back at Lingfield on Friday.
"That's the plan at present as he wants to make sure he is 100 per cent for Saturday at Uttoxeter where he has a number of rides for his boss Paul Nicholls."
Murphy was brought down to earth by his fall at Naas, just 24 hours after partnering See More Business to victory in Cheltenham's Pillar Property Investments Chase.
