MUNSTER A 21 LEINSTER A 15: A MAGNIFICENT second-half by the Munster A pack paved the way for victory at Clonmel last night.
Second-half tries from number eight and captain James Coughlan and flanker Billy Holland swung a tight match.
Munster trailed at the break 7-6, with Leinster’s try from Eoin Sheriff after 18 minutes poor reward for their dominance.
Outhalf Declan Cusack kept Munster in touch with two penalties.
But Munster took charge after the break with their pack totally on top, driving Leinster back to their line and creating the platform for Coughlan and Holland to touch down.
A breakaway try from winger Michael Keating in the 77th minute brought Leinster within a converted try of Munster but superb defence from the home side secured victory.
