McKenna Cup Final/Monaghan ... 1-11 Tyrone ... 0-12: Division three strugglers Monaghan overcame Tyrone at Brewster Park yesterday. Thomas Freeman scored Monaghan's goal after 25 minutes of the second half to give them a 1-8 to 0-9 lead.
Tyrone's scoring was rounded off with points from Peter Canavan and Seán Cavanagh six minutes from time, but a Freeman point sealed victory.
