RACING RETURNS to the all-weather at Dundalk this afternoon, and while Miss Gorica has yet to win in seven starts at the track, she can change that in the six-furlong premier handicap.

Joanna Morgan’s versatile mare comes here in winning form, having beaten Leandros at Leopardstown on her last start, and, while the latter is back for another crack, Miss Gorica this time has the services of top apprentice Danny Mullins on her back.

That 5lb claim will be a big help in a typically competitive handicap and Miss Gorica can repel a strong challenge from the “Dundalk King” Ger Lyons.

The Co Meath trainer has a remarkable record here and he can team up with Johnny Murtagh for another successful stint today.

Reggae Rock came up half-a-length short of Bobbyscot on his debut at Leopardstown, but he looks like he can better Crying Time in the auction maiden.

Achak looks another decent shout for the Lyons-Murtagh team in the opening sprint, while Dazzling Day looks worth a bet to bounce back from a poor run at Galway in the seven-furlong fillies maiden.

At Tramore this evening, Noel Meade’s Silverhand can follow up on a good run in the Galway Hurdle by emerging best in the concluding maiden.

Fontegiusta’s second at Tipperary to Tamarind reads well on the back of the winner’s exploits since and can justify the trip for the mile-and-a-half fillies maiden.

Charleville won so well at Galway that even a stone hike in the ratings may not stop him in the 12-furlong handicap.
