GEORGE WEAH, the world player of the year in 1995, has extended his contract at AC Milan until the end of the century.
Milan, who need only to draw their remaining three matches to secure their fourth league title in five seasons, said the Liberian had signed up until June 30th 1999. His current contract was due to expire next year.
Gianluca Vialli, whose contract with Juventus expires at the end of this season, said yesterday he was flattered to receive so many offers at his age - 32 - but he would decide his future after the European Cup final against Ajax on May 22nd.
Vialli said he fancied ending his career at Sampdoria, where he spent eight seasons and won the Serie A title in 1991.
Vialli, who last year said he would never play for Italy again after numerous disagreements with coach Arrigo Sacchi, said he would go to the European Championship "just to watch the games."
