Methody have the cutting edge

Ulster Senior Cup Semi-final: Methodist College 19; Wallace High School 8

Ulster Senior Cup Semi-final: Methodist College 19; Wallace High School 8. Methodist College ran in three tries as they set up a St Patrick's Day final against RBAI at Ravenhill yesterday.

Wallace were the better side in the opening 20 minutes but they failed to make their pressure count and Methody scored against the run of play, with Rory Blake-Knox hacking forward for Owen McMurray to score before adding the conversion.

Wallace full back Greg Taylor reduced the gap with a penalty after 26 minutes and Tim Moore rumbled over for an unconverted try on 42 minutes to give his side a thoroughly deserved lead.

Methody's greater cutting edge was in evidence six minutes later when Colin Fenton crossed for a try and David Annett sealed victory when he sent Stuart Morrow in for a third try converted by McMurray.
