GAA President-Elect Sean McCague, told the Monaghan County Convention in Monaghan yesterday that clubs have to be vigilant in guarding the youth and stemming the erosion of the amateur status. To spontaneous applause he spoke of the peace that now pertains in Northern Ireland and, referring to the issue of Rule 21, he told the delegates that the association will have to have the courage to take the big decision.
