A Jason Marren goal after three minutes gave the south Sligo side a dream start and they were five points in front when Cian Breheny opened the St Mary’s account from a 10th-minute but trailed 1-7 to 0-8 at the break.
Adrian Marren raised the first flag of the half but St Mary’s were back in it when Stephen Coen scored from a 45th-minute penalty to reduce the deficit to 1-11 to 1-10.
But St Mary’s failed to score in the last 15 minutes as Curry tagged on five more points.
