Liz Matthews has enjoyed her summer's golfing at Rathsallagh like never before. She started the season playing off 36, and while dropping 10 shots she has annexed most of the major prizes on offer.
The most recent was last Saturday's President's Prize which she captured with 41 stableford points. Prior to that she had also lifted the Lady Captain's Prize and the Captain's Prize to Ladies. Playing away was no problem either. Liz won the regional final of the Shell Challenge in Naas to qualify for the overall finals at Mount Juliet.
There could be even more to come. Liz is defending the club matchplay title she won last year and is clearly someone the other members will want to avoid in the draw.
