The Munster Council of the GAA received a letter from Colin Lynch on Thursday afternoon asking for reconsideration of his suspension arising out of incidents in the Munster senior hurling final replay on July 19th. The council intend to hold a meeting to consider his request as soon as possible next week when all the members of council's GAC will be expected to be available. Munster Council officials, despite holiday problems, readily acceded to a Croke Park request last Monday evening to bring forward the hearing of Colin Lynch's appeal to the Management Committee from Sunday next, August 30th, to last Wednesday so that, in fairness to the player, his case could be dealt with and finalised in good time before Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final in Thurles.
