Back in September, the Lucan Pitch and Putt Club were in danger of losing part of their course under a compulsory purchase order as part of the new local authority flood alleviation system.
However, after meetings within the club and with South Dublin County Council, an agreement has been reached which will minimise the impact of work affecting the course. The council will undertake any reasonable restorative work on the course and have specifically agreed to reconstruct the eighth hole and tee, to realign of the ninth green and to move the ninth and 10th tees.
