NFL DIVISION THREE Louth 1-11 Waterford 0-11:IT MAY have taken a flurry of late points to clinch it, but Louth were good value for a priceless win at Dungarvan yesterday.

Louth celebrated promotion at the final whistle while Waterford suffered the pain of relegation.

The sides were level at the interval, 0-5 to 1-2, with Louth’s goal coming from Ronan Carroll in the 25th minute. Waterford took control on the restart and held a four-point lead before Tony Grey’s dismissal on 57 minutes.

Louth made use of their numerical advantage, and points from Derek Maguire, Ray Finnegan and Carroll sealed the game in the closing minutes.
