Longford were a point down at the break but in the second half they took complete control as the home side only managed one point from play in the game.
Niall Mulligan fisted their goal midway through the second half after a quick counter-attack.
Three Terry O’Flanagan frees and a pointed effort from play by Tomás Corrigan helped Fermanagh lead at half-time. Longford replied through Seán McCormack who kicked two points from play, Mulligan adding another.
