London Irish marched on to their eighth league win for nine games by sinking bottom team West Hartlepool in a 10-try thriller at Sunbury on Saturday.

The victorious spirit was characterised by hat-trick hooker Richard Kirke whose three tries added 15 points in as many first half minutes.

But this was by no means a oneman show, and within five minutes, Jake Boer's converted crash over move had put the Exiles 7-0 up.

The lead was soon to be doubled when centre Nick Burrows put the Londoners 14 points in credit.

Nu'uali'itia twice and hooker Shane Macdonald reduced the deficit but not before Burrows had stretched the lead with a try on 57 minutes.

It was that try's restart that provided the move of the match. With lightning-quick hands, seemingly every Exile touched the ball as an inexorable Irish charge ended with a touchdown by Bachop.
