Cavan 0-10 Limerick 0-9: LIMERICK MANAGER Mickey Ned O'Sullivan has admitted "survival" is now the name of the game for his troops in Division Three.

“We could have won but didn’t,” he said. “If we kept on letting the ball in directly and kept it simple I think we would have won it. But we went back to playing short, silly balls towards the end instead of letting it in . . . We had our chances and didn’t take them and now it’s all about survival.”

A draw looked on the cards when Limerick’s Seánie Buckley weaved his way through three soft challenges to make it 0-9 apiece with 15 minutes remaining. However, Cavan’s Cian Mackey landed the winner in the 67th minute.
