TRAINER Andrew Lee's appeal against the decision of the acting stewards at Thurles to fine him £250 for using the racecourse as a training ground with Dearborn Tec in the Goddwill Beginners Chase on December 14th was allowed when the Stewards of the INHS Committee met at the Registry Office, yesterday.

The suspension of 14 days imposed on the horse was also withdrawn. However, the stewards found jockey Ciaran O'Brien had ridden an injudicious race, making insufficient effort to obtain the best possible placing on Dearborn Ted, and they suspended him for six days (January 8th-13th inclusive).
