Three points in the last 10 minutes earned Roscommon a draw in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
The home side started brighter and raced into a fourpoint lead courtesy of scores from Aidan Rooney (0-3) and midfielder Paul McDermott.
Leitrim enjoyed a three-point advantage at the interval. The second half provided greater entertainment for the small crowd with both teams upping the tempo. Logan, Brendan Bourke and Fergal O'Donnell exchanged points with Padraig McLoughlin (0-2) and Jimmy Guckian.
Leitrim, however, failed to score in the last quarter as unanswered points from Jason Neary, substitute Nigel Dineen and the excellent O'Donnell rescued the visitors.
