Derry City 1 Bray Wanderers 1VINCENT SWEENEY'S late equaliser kept Derry City in the FAI Cup at the Brandywell last night, the second-half substitute heading home in the 89th minute from a corner to deny a battling Bray side victory.
Derry missed a penalty after eight minutes when Patrick McEleney’s spot-kick hit the upright. Bray then stubbornly defended a 20th minute lead given to them by Shane O’Neill’s alert finish.
Derry’s Mark Farren was red-carded in the 93rd for an alleged dive inside the penalty area which earned him a second yellow card
