RACING: The Davids Lad affair took another turn yesterday when the Turf Club's proceedings to have last Thursday's court stay lifted and the horse's 42-day ban reinstated were adjourned at the High Court. The case will resume at 10.0 a.m. today.

Trainer Tony Martin is hoping the decision goes his way as he plans to run Davids Lad in tomorrow's Mildmay Of Flete Handicap Chase at Cheltenham.

The leading Irish fancy for the Martell Cognac Grand National was ruled out of Aintree when the Turf Club rejected appeals from the connections and confirmed the ban imposed by the Naas stewards for using the racecourse as a training ground on February 23rd.
