CLARE SFC Final Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-11 Liscannor 0-5: HOT-FAVOURITES Kilmurry-Ibrickane proved too strong for Liscannor at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday. The game was marred by difficult conditions and at half-time Kilmurry led 0-4 to 0-2.
Liscannor suffered an early blow with the loss of attacking defender Niall Considine through injury after four minutes.
Points from Odran O'Dwyer, Noel Downs and Michael O'Dwyer put Kilmurry 0-3 to 0-0 in front after the opening quarter and Liscannor finally opened their account after 18 minutes, when captain Brian Considine kicked a point. He also grabbed their only other first-half score, while Odran ODwyer notched Kilmurry's fourth before the break. A Dara Blake point kept Liscannor in touch at 0-7 to 0-5 by the 54th minute but a strong Kilmurry finish yielded four scores from Downes twice, Odran O'Dwyer and substitute JohnnyDaly.
