DUBLIN'S Killester lost out, 86-71, to host club Troon in the final of the Under-17 club international basketball tournament in Irvine yesterday.
The Dublin side were unable to breach the Troon defence early on where 6ft 9in Man of the Match Robert Archibald was in control. They finished the first half 37-43 down but came back to take the lead 64-59 with 11 minutes still to play. "We got them running and out of control," explained coach Martin Grennell.
But the better prepared local side regained their composure.
