KILKENNY COLLEGE went through to the Section A semi final with a nine point victory over St David's at Athy yesterday.

Tries by Keith Masterson and Adrian Copeland, and a conversion kick from Russell Armstrong, gave them a 12-0 lead at the interval. St David's rallied with an early penalty by Brian O'Sullivan in the second half. However, their comeback was halted when Copeland got his second try in the 47th minute.

The Greystones school finished the stronger side but apart from a late try by O'Sullivan, they were unable to convert their pressure into scores.
