Kilkenny hurlers field a make-shift team for Sunday's meeting (12.30) with Wicklow at St John's Park in the Oireachtas Cup.

Included are under-21 players Tom Hickey, Dan O'Neill (the minor captain of 1991), Declan Cleere, Ken O'Shea and Niall Maloney. D J Carey and Pat O'Neill are two of the county's regulars involved in the county final replay between Young Irelands and James Stephens although O'Neill is doubtful with a heel injury.

Donegal footballer Patrick Cunningham (21) was still in intensive care in Letterkenny General Hospital last night following a car accident outside Killybegs while travelling home last Sunday from the National Football League match against Cork in Ballybofey.
