Kildare County - 3 Crumlin Utd - 1 There was no fairytale victory for the Leinster Senior League side Crumlin United at Kildare County last night. Kildare County's superior class and fitness told in the end.

A bizarre own goal from the head of Crumlin's wing back John Nolan gave Kildare the lead on 22 minutes. On 31 minutes Crumlin defender Wayne Mooney bundled Philip Hughes over in the box and Alan McNevin slotted home the penalty. Sean Murray scored for the visitors on 50 minutes but Hughes restored the two-goal lead four minutes later with a 30-yard lob.
