Kildare 0-16 Fermanagh 1-8:KILDARE COMPLETELY dominated Fermanagh in the second half at Enniskillen to emerge as worthy winners. The defeat ensured Fermanagh's relegation to Division Three while Kildare are now very much in the hunt for promotion to Division One.
Three points each from Padraig O’Neill and Ken Donnelly led the Kildare assault and, with 13 of their 16 points coming from play, the Lilywhites possessed a real scoring threat. John Doyle swung over four points for the visitors, three from frees, while Robert Kelly’s marauding runs from midfield were a constant menace.
A second-half goal from Fermanagh substitute Pat Cadden left just two between the sides but Kildare simply changed up the gears and went away from the hosts.
Kildare led 0-4 to 0-3 at the interval. Fermanagh drew level with a second Eamonn Maguire point from play but from then on Kildare bossed matters. Doyle kicked a massive point from the right touchline to ignite the crowd and his team-mates and from that point Kildare assumed control.
