Kilcoo 0-13 St Eunan's 0-9:DOWN CHAMPIONS Kilcoo overpowered their Donegal counterparts St Eunan's in Páirc Esler, Newry, yesterday.
Kilcoo fell behind by 0-3 to 0-1 at the end of the opening quarter with Paul Devlin getting the Kilcoo point. Conal Dunne with two points and Brendan Devenney were the St Eunan’s scorers. Kilcoo’s Paul Devlin lobbed over two points and Barry and Donal Kane and Martin McClean one each to leave it 0-6 to 0-4 at half time with Brendan Devenney pointing for Eunan’s.
Although Conal Dunne pointed a St Eunan’s free three minutes after the interval, a four-point salvo from Donal Kane (two frees), Paul Devlin and Barry Kane extended the lead to 0-10 to 0-6.
Kevin Rafferty and Ciarán Sharkey brought the losers back to within two points. In an exciting finish Anthony and Paul Devlin sealed it for Kilcoo.
