Eight members of the Kerry side that lost the All-Ireland semi-final against Kildare last weekend are to return to Dublin tomorrow in search of a place in the Ireland side to play Australia in the compromise rules matches at Croke Park on October 11th and 18th.

The final trial will take place at 11 a.m. at St Vincent's Grounds, Marino.

The 30-man squad to be chosen by manager Colm O'Rourke, Micky Moran of Sligo and John O'Keeffe of Kerry will not be named until after the All-Ireland final between Kildare and Galway on September 27th.

Seven Meath players are invited to the trial, including Tommy Dowd, John McDermott and Graham Geraghty, and 22 counties will be represented.

Limerick (John Quane), Cavan (Dermot McCabe) and Leitrim (Adrian Cullen) have one player invited.

The main task is to get the players accustomed to the tackle between the shoulders and the knees, the mark and the pick-up, although it has humorously suggested that few players will need any advice on the pick-up.

Cork have made two changes to their team to face Antrim in the All-Ireland under-21 hurling semi-final at Parnell Park tomorrow. Luke Mannix comes in at midfield for Tony Fitzgibbon and Neil Ronan, who came on as a sub against Tipperary, is retained at right half forward.
