Galway's good form in the NHL Division 1A continued unabated when they overwhelmed Kerry at Kenny Park, Athenry, on Saturday.
Once again Eugene Cloonan proved to be the victors top marksman with a total of 1-9 which helped the Tribesmen to their fourth successive National League victory in the current campaign. This win moves them a step closer to a semi-final place.
Galway had their first goal of the match after two minutes when Alan Kerins their right corner forward found the net.
This goal inspired the home challenge and at the interval Galway were 12 points ahead 2-10 to 0-4.
Kerry who have failed to win a match in this league campaign suffered a killer blow two minutes into the second-half when Cloonan who flicked the ball to the back of the net to put 16 points between the sides at that stage.
