There was a dramatic ending to the Leitrim senior football final played at Parc Sean MacDiaramada, Carrick-on-Shannon, yesterday when Glencar/Manorhamilton snatched a dramatic winning goal two minutes into injurytime.
The scorer was centre back James Kelly. With time almost up, Glencar held onto a slender eight points to six lead. However, St Caillian's staged a remarkable recovery and when Patrick Guckian drove home a 27-minute goal, it put them a point in front. Gerry Butler converted a 31st-minute free to give St Caillian's a two-point advantage. Glencar responded with Kelly's 32nd-minute winning goal.
