There is renewed speculation linking Robbie Keane with Arsenal following the disclosure that the club was again represented at Wolves' game against Barnet on Tuesday evening.
This is believed to be the third occasion that Arsenal have watched the 18-year-old striker since his meteoric climb to prominence, first at club level and then in international football after McCarthy had elevated him to full Ireland status in the Czech Republic last March.
After Arsenal's interest in the player was first reported a fortnight ago, Wolves' manager Mark McGhee said that the Irishman, who signed a new contract with the club last season, was not for sale.
It remains to be seen, however, if that was a mere bargaining ploy as interest heightens in a player who is thought to be worth in excess of £5 million.
