This column thought former Ireland coach Gerry Murphy was in charge at Terenure College. However Murphy is adamant that honour belongs to Australian Scott Oakhill, who has been at Lakelands since the start of the AIB League. His previous experience includes 18 months in the US, at Chicago and Aspen.
Oakhill spent 20 years prior to that playing and coaching with JPS Old Boys in Australia. He had responsibility for the Colts side and during his time there helped to bring through Ben Tune, Daniel Herbert and Matt Cockbain, three of last year's World Cup winning team. Oakhill now has responsibility for the backs and on the evidence of Saturday's performance is producing a fluent three-quarter line not afraid to use the ball from anywhere.
