This was little more than a stroll for the Sligo students against the University of Ulster in Coleraine with the visitors sweeping to an easy win.
Sligo's outstanding player was full forward Sean Flannery who snatched seven points in a bustling performance which had the Coleraine defence in all sorts of trouble.
Flannery is better-known as a Sligo Rovers player but yesterday proved that he also has Gaelic football skills in abundance. UUC were never in the match and trailed 0-4 to 0-1 at the interval. Any hopes they had of a revival were blown away in the 37th minute when Sligo county player Dessie Sloyane cracked home a goal after creating the chance himself and beating two defenders.
During the closing quarter the home side tried bravely to stem the tide but the damage was done. The Sligo forwards were in full flow despite the efforts of corner back Joe Doran.
