CAVAN SFC Final Cavan Gaels 0-15 Denn 0-7:IT WAS all too easy for title-holders Cavan Gaels as they put rank outsiders Denn to the sword in a scrappy Cavan SFC final at Kingspan/Breffni Park.
The wind-aided challengers drew first blood with a Colin Kiernan point but an air of inevitability was evident once Enda King pointed to leave the Gaels 0-3 to 0-1 in front after 13 minutes.
Gunning for their fifth title in six years, the Gaels coasted into a 0-7 to 0-2 interval lead with with man-of-the-match Seanie Johnston executioner-in-chief for the defending champions.
Denn found it difficult to cope with the title-holders' skilful full-forward line of Johnston, Nicholas Walsh and Micheal Lyng as they were forced to rely largely on Colin Kiernan's free-taking for scores.
