LEE JANZEN fired a nine under par 63 in Miami yesterday to hold a one shot lead in the suspended first round of the $1.8 billion Doral Open. Thirty three players were still on the course when failing light stopped play, are rescheduled to resume today.

Janzen, the 1993 US Open champion whose best finish this season was a tie for third place at the Nortel Open in January, leads Michael Bradley by one stroke. He finished just one stroke off the course record, which was tied by Greg Norman in 1993.

Norman, the world's top ranked player who is back in the United States after playing overseas, was in a group of five on five under 67. Norman won the Doral in 1990 and 1993. Defending champion Nick Faldo hit a first round 72.
